It was noteworthy that Arab designers were prominent at the Paris Fashion Week for the upcoming spring and summer, which recently concluded its activities in the French fashion capital. We have chosen below to highlight 3 performances that were well received by the audience, in addition to great interaction on social media.

Zuhair Murad chose for its new high-end fashion collection to be a tribute to the Phoenician civilization, from which the roots of modern Lebanon emerge. She moved away from the traditional looks of princess gowns and wedding dresses to present designs decorated with chains, precious stones, and ornaments. Her color palette was dominated by metallic hues, in addition to the presence of olive green, brick, purple, and sandy beige, all inspired by the Phoenician civilization.

Designer Zuhair Murad was also inspired by the ancient Roman and Greek civilizations to present in his designs zigzag mesh patterns resembling vines and grape berries. He also used geometric patterns resembling arabesques and mosaics, which were executed in metallic shades and a contemporary atmosphere, demonstrating his skill in weaving history, art, and contemporary fashion in a charming style that celebrates the Phoenician heritage. the rich

• George Shakar Collection

Georges Chakra's collection of high-end fashion for the coming spring and summer celebrated everything that is unusual within the ordinary, as its designs were inspired by the style of magical realism, which combines the ordinary and the strange with a unique experience that stems from the ground of reality. Through these designs, designer Georges Chakra tells a remarkable story of luxury mixed with Art Deco aesthetics. The visual character of that artistic era was evident through the geometric shapes and artistic decorations that decorated the materials of fragile crepe, flexible satin, silk muslin, and organza that were cut with a laser. As for the color palette adopted by the designer, it varied between shades of white, lilac, blue, and pink, in addition to gold, silver, and red.

• Tony Ward Collection

“The Golden Ratio” is the title chosen by Tony Ward for its spring/summer 2024 haute couture collection. Through it, it wanted to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its participation in the Paris Fashion Weeks shows. This collection included about 55 looks that were executed with perfection, and were introduced with geometric patterns through hand embroidery and sharp cuts that show the vitality of the body’s movement.

The show began with looks that varied between black and white, followed by designs in metallic shades, then a festival of bright spring colors, manifested through the use of pink, lilac, red, royal blue, and lively green. The show concluded with a group of silver looks, all of which were off-the-shoulder.

This group was able to confirm the position of designer Tony Ward on the international fashion scene. What will the stars choose from his designs in the upcoming art festivals?
